I've been a bad link up blogger it's been just under a month since I linked up with Thea's Sunday Session and shared in some great music with our bloggers and listen to the music they like.
If you want to join in with the fun you can just click on the link that says Thea's in the above sentence or click on the Sunday Sessions button to the right of the screen.
When I was growing up I loved Adam Ant's music and thanks to Adam Hills and his show Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight I've been reintroduced to Adam Ant as his brought out some new music this year.
The first two clips are favourites of mine
This last one is called Vince Taylor and is about a singer who had a group called Vince Taylor and The Playboys in the 50's & 60's but how drug abuse, drinking & personal problems really played havoc on him.
If you want to know more about Vince Taylor just do a Google search on him.

Sunday Session 1 (2012)
I'm teaming up with Thea again this year to play Sunday Session with her. To play along all you have to do is click either of the links in this blog or click the Sunday Session button that's on the left of the screen link your blog with your songs you love to her blog & your done.
Now to sort of take Thea's lead and post two songs that I loved hearing through out 2011 (and always do love hearing) there were many but I'll stay with two as I know that a lot more people will be linking up and may have the same songs if I list all the ones I loved hearing.
The first song is by Kate Perry & was a number 1 hit for her.
The next one is two lovely singers singing a song together and while watching the movie Red Dog a few days ago I fell in love with it all over again.
Can't wait to hear your songs

Sunday Session 40
I'm glad to be joining up with Thea again to be part of her Sunday Session (Yes I know its Monday and that I'm a day late, but better late then never LOL)
The rule is that there is no rules anymore except you post your fav songs then link up with her blog so without any more fussing here are my songs for this Sunday Session
Both my songs today are from the same group, the first one is can anyone guess?
While the Second is really good for anyone who is rushed doing things on a Monday

Sunday Session 37
My what a long time for me has passed between I done some Sunday Sessions with the sweet Thea I'm hoping to not let as much time pass in between Sunday Sessions again as I love it as I'm sure you will. The idea behind Sunday Session is you grab a song (or 2 or more) usually Thea posts an oldie and a newbie (but I love more the oldie songs then newies so hence why I post more newbies). You then link you songs up on your blog to Thea's blog by pressing the Sunday Session button to the right of the screen.
As some of you know about 4 to 5 days ago I had to attend the Funeral of a dear Uncle called Uncle Wally ( or Walter as his real name was) I wish I'd knew him a lot longer then I did as I only learnt at the Funeral of his passion for Buddy Holly songs I also love Buddy Holly and his songs.
This week for Sunday Session I'm going to play the two Buddy Holly songs that was played at Wallys Funeral

Sunday Session 32
YEAHHHHHHH it's Sunday Session time once again with the lovely Thea who every Sunday posts two or more songs usually one being an oldie and one being a newbie. Then gets other people with blogs to join up if they wish. A lot of people who know me know that I usually only post oldies as most of the new songs that come out these days to my ears and eyes are crap but there are some exceptions.
The first one I am going to post I grew up with and pops into my head from time to time it's a great song by the Brotherhood Of Man (On a side note I did have a major crush on the lead male singer)
The next one I'm going to post is another one I fell in love with as I was growing up it's by The 5th Dimension ( Love the small 45 record brings back memories the song starts playing around the 26 second mark)
Time to creep into the 1980's here with this song that I use to play full volume when my parents weren't home.
Now to slide all the way back 1976 and listen to some Tina Charles when this use to be played a lot at discos, even the blue light disco's.

Sunday Session 31
It's that time again, time for Sunday Session with the lovely Thea The idea is to post an oldie and newbie on your blog (although you can post just oldies, like I do or just newbies) then link up with Thea's blog by either hiting her name in this blog or hitting the Sunday Session button on the side of this blog. Here are my picks for this week.
The first one comes to mind any time I talk about how when adults went to school as kids we had a lot more freedom then kids do these days cause they are wrapped in to much cotten wool with all the new school rules etc.
The other one I always think of when I see a truck on the road. (Make sure you have tissues handy)
I got one more its a parody song, now don't get me wrong I love animals have a cat of my own but sometimes these parody songs are just so funny & bring a smile to my face.

When does 2011 start for you?
Here it is the 4th of January 2011 and the New Year is only really starting for me this year as this is when people head back to work and you can make them calls to companies,Dr's,Dentists, and other places that close down over the New Year period. This is the time I start hunting around for a appt diary for this year as most places sell them at half price now compared to full price before the New Year.
This year is already shaping up to be a busy one with me aiming to lose a kilo a week till I'm down to 55 or 60 kilos, for those of you interested in following my weight lose you can follow it here . Also I'm planning on doing some sort of study via correspondence course before Easter rolls around so will be spending this week and maybe next week checking out if I need to enrol now or if I can enrol closer to Easter.
Also hoping to meet up quiet a number of times with some twitter friends who live in and around the South East Queensland area, all of my twitter friends have been a great source of new friendship for me and have made me feel very wlecome online but my next hurdle comes in metting a group of them. I've meet one twitter friend one to one and that was lovely but when it comes to a group even if know the people I get worried and scared if I haven't meet them in real lift. I'm not going to put people's names on here but all my friends know who you are(I hope you do)
I'm looking forward to what the new year is going to bring me even though I know some of what it's going to bring me the rest of it will be surprises even if it means hitting a rough patch here and there I look forward to them cause its through rough patches that part of me learns to grow stronger.
What about you, when does 2011 start for you? What are you persoanlly looking forward to this year for you and/or your family?

Thousand Word Thursday 5
Thursday has rolled around again, were I find myself looking for a pic that means a lot to me and playing Thousand Word Thursday with toushka one of many wonderful twitter friends. The idea is to find a photo that has meaning for you, place it on your blog then write why it has meaning then to post a link to it on toushka website.
This picture is of a Mini Foxie cross Chiuaua that was given to our friend when her dog passed away (I original had the parents) The pup was the runt of the litter, in this pic she is 12 years old, sadly she passed away early this year through old age but she was the most lovest & most playful dog (like her parents)
Looking at this picture not only reminds me about her but about her parents & the friends that we gave her to. As you can see there is no need to dock a Mini Foxie cross Chiuaua's tail they still look pretty with their tail.
Can't wait to see your pics.

Thursday has rolled around again, were I Find myself looking for a pic that means a lot to me and playing Thousand Word Thursday with toushka one of many wonderful twitter friends. The idea is to find a photo that has meaning for you, place it on your blog then write while it has meaning then to post a link to it on toushka website.
Won't you please join us in sharing your pics would love to see some pics
This was a school picture take of me when I was year 2 of School down in New South Wales, the reason this picture has a special place in my heart is it's the only picture I do have me as a young girl as I lost of lot of my pictures when I split from my ex (the guy I was going with before I meet the guy I am with now)
It brings back a lot of memories both of good and bad times at school, the games I played with friends, the teachers I had, the school I loved sometimes I want to be that age again just for the school part of it I really loved school & still love to learn.
I wish my hair was still as blonde as that but over the years it's naturally turned a browny colour. I still try to keep it long I always loved long hair, sometimes I do get my hair cut short but for the most part its always long
Have you got a pic to share?

Thousand Word Thursday 2
| Nana,Uncle Bob and MotorbikesLady Dec 1987 |
Thursday has rolled around again, were I Find myself looking for a pic that means a lot to me and playing Thousand Word Thursday with toushka one of many wonderful twitter friends. The idea is to find a photo that has meaning for you, place it on your blog then write while it has meaning then to post a link to it on toushka website.
This picture was taken in Feb 2007 down in Penrith NSW at the back of Nana's place, it's of my nana, uncle (dad's side of the family) and me. The last time I saw my Nana and Uncle before this photo was taken was back in December 1987.
I love my Nana and Uncle with all my heart, I phone them every month to see how they are getting on and I am lucky enough to have a wonderful guy in my life who took me down in June 2010 for four days to see them. Every time I look at this picture all these different emotions over come me but they are all good emotions.
Nana is in her 80's now but hopefully I will have her for at least a few more years yet when she does pass it will be a very sad day in my life. My Uncle Bob is in his early 50's and takes really good care of my Nana.
There was 5 kids in the family all up, My dad, My Uncles Warren & Bob plus my two Aunties Patrica (she passed away while still a baby) and Roslyn. My first grand dad who I never meet passed away from a heart attack at 38 years old (when my dad was a teenager) then Nana remarried again while my father was still a teenager (before I was even born) so the guy I always knew as grand dad was in a way really my step grand dad.
He passed away a few years back now & had a good life even fighting in World War 2 as part of the Rats of Toburk, next time we go to Sydney I'm hoping to pay a visit to his grave to take some pictures.

Younger/Older Drivers
I'm sick and tired of hearing how people whinge about younger drivers especially those on their L's or P's. It's about time society realised that it doesn't matter if your 15 years old or 80 years old there is no such thing as a perfect driver, these days we all have distrations it could be turning your music up, changing your music/radio channel, talking to your passengers, turning the air conditioning/heater on/off etc.
On Sunday night while watching RBT on Channel 9 a 76 year old lady tried to avoid the booze bus, now you can bet all the money in the world this wouldn't have made any media outlets and if it did it would have got a small meantion. Yet if it was a L or P plater then it would have been big news all over the media.
I do understand that some not all young people can be silly behind the wheel of a car but I'm also trying to point out no matter what age a person is everyone has been or maybe silly behind the wheel at some stage and if you want to give L or P platers a bad name then you need to give every driver including yourself a bad name.
You may ask well do you give yourself a bad name and my answer to that is yes I do with so much to concentrate on when your on the road it's not easy to be a perfect driver & as I said earlier there is no such thing as a perfect driver.
Also another thought that has just popped into my mind why is it the older drivers who mainly have their open Licences that ran over a child(ren) in the drive way you hear more reports of parents doing that then L or P platers yet once again a L or P plater could do that just as easy as a older person.
Plus look at all the truck drivers that have accidents all of them are older people who have their open licence and not their L's or P's
It was only a few weeks ago that our family drove from Brisbane to Penrith and had a lady who must have been about 45 years old sitting on our tail & overtaking at different places through Warwick all the way down to Scone. Comming home we had a guy around 60 sitting on our tail & over taking between Newcastle & Coffs Habour.
I'm not trying to say one group is better then the other far from it I'm trying to point out everyone is a bad driver, now you know my thoughts I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
UPDATE: Friday 9th July 2010 Maybe the media has been listening to me as I found this in the Courier Mail (Queensland) Newspaper http://tinyurl.com/3amnxw
