Sunday Session 14

Sunday Session is here again but this time my lovely friend Thea has put a twist on it she has choosen to do Australian songs this week as Australia Day (26th January every year is Australia Day) so I'm going to follow the leader on this and do Australia Songs on my post as well this week.

My first pick is not actually a song but was a great hit back in the 80's when it come out and you can still hear it being played today on Australia day by people who own it and its Australiana by Austen Tayshus

The 2nd pick is Sound of Then (This is Australia)

The 3rd song is Solid Rock by Goanna

The last song is Down Under by Men At Work

If you click the Sunday Session button on the right hand side of my blog or click on Thea's name in the opening paragraph it will take you to her blog when she describes better then me what these Sunday Sessions are.

Thea usually pop's on my blog to leave a comment about the Sunday Session clips I've choosen for my blog so, she might be kind enough (if not to busy) to explain to you then how Sunday Sessions work.

  3. OMG, I loved Australiana when it came out! I remember sitting on the bus going to a school camp, someone had it on their 'tape recorder' and everyone was cracking up over it!

Love the other Aussie songs too!! :)

  4. Great selection, well done. Gangajang reminds me of summer holidays at my grandparents place at Kingscliff.

  5. OMG, I love all these! What iconic Aussie songs (and I'm not sure what you call the Austentatious thingy, but remember laughing along at that one too.) Sounds Of Then is one of those songs that always reminds me of living in tropical North Queensland. Happy days. xo

  6. Thea, thank you for commenting on my Sunday Session like you always do without fail.

Were the teachers cracking up at Australiana or were they busy telling you all to keep the laughter down?
