Sunday Session 22

For the last two Sundays I have missed playing Thea's Sunday Session due to the fact I've had the flu but I'm back this week with heaps of songs to post to join in this week and for the two posts I've missed over the other two weeks.

The idea is you put a oldie & newbie song up on your blog then link to Thea's blog and some of us are also now linking to Natasha's  blog as well, so don't forget to check out her blog as well, you can link to both.

My first pick for this week is Just Can't Get Enough by Depeche Mode

The next one is not so much a song but a nice piece of music called Apache from the Shadows, there is nothing like sitting with a group of friends over a drink and just listening to some music without any lyrics to it Do you agree?

Another great piece of music without lyrics I love listening to is Classical Gas by Mason Williams watch the flim clip & let me know what you think about the surprise around the 45 second mark.

The next song I love and fell in love with it more when I heard the Great Dame Judi Dench sing it not only is she a great actress but she has a wonderful voice The song is called Send In The Clowns I play this song everytime Hubby & I are foolish in our thoughts to each other at times.

Now if you can hang on I got two more songs left to post the next one is Roy Orbison's Candy Man

The other Candy Song I love is the one from the Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory movie and is called The Candy Man

Well hope you enjoyed all my music this week and that I've given you all enough music to cover me being away for the last two weeks.

  3. I'm glad to hear you are feeling better now. Isn't it awful having a summer cold!

I am also glad you chose all of these fabulous songs. I loved the depeche mode one and the classical gas. You are right, it's brilliant when the whole orchestra starts playing-brilliant!

Thanks so much for joining in with Sunday Song. I am so happy that I met you and Thea!

    Best wishes and happy week,
    Natasha.

PS See you on twitter during the week!

  4. I just can't get enough of Depeche Mode. ;-)

The Shadows remind me of the Ventures. We used to have an 8-track of the Ventures growing up that my mom played in the car on road trips. The two groups are so similar it was like a trip down memory lane. Thanks for sharing it.

I heard Roy Orbison's Candy Man at a previous Sunday Session, and I still think it is a really great song.
